MERAY’s story began in 1978, when Mehmet Kılıç started processing and selling the pistachios he grew in his own fields. What began as a small trading venture grew over the years through new investments, production facilities and product ranges into an international brand.
It all began in the soil.
Mehmet Kılıç processed the pistachios he grew in his own fields and brought them to market. This first step, bringing production and trade together, marked the start of the road that leads to MERAY today.
A first step into our own production.
Our first roasting and processing facility was established. Production gained a more controlled structure, and a new era of growth began for MERAY.
A door to Germany.
With the founding of Fresh Nuts GmbH, MERAY began operating in Germany. This step was an important start for growing the company’s presence in the European market and reaching a wider customer base.
A new era in production.
The integrated production facility in Gaziantep further developed our capacity and processes. This investment was an important step in strengthening MERAY’s production infrastructure.
A stronger presence in Europe.
With an integrated production facility in Germany, MERAY expanded its production infrastructure in Europe and gained new opportunities to develop its international operations.
A new journey with coffee.
The coffee processing and production facility broadened MERAY’s product range. The experience gained in nuts was carried over into coffee production.
New investments, new opportunities.
A corn processing facility was established under the name Global Corn. With this investment, MERAY moved its production into a new field and broadened its product variety.
